My husband and I planted about 20 holly bushes a number of years ago and they (finally!) are big enough to prune out some branches to use for decorating. While helping with getting the hoop house up I saw those holly bushes and decided to cut a few branches for an outside display. I put them in the garage to work on them later (hopefully!). On Thanksgiving Day with the dinner almost ready I decided I needed a centerpiece so using the holly, a few spruce branches and a Magnolia pitcher I was ready. I still need to do my outside display. Maybe tomorrow?? Have fun looking for greenery for making your porch pot this week. :)

Hello. again!
Hello from Michigan! It is the beginning of a new month and another new beginning for my blog At Home! I'm hoping to have an instagram for At Home as well.
Today I'm sharing some of the beautiful fall colors of Michigan. The colors have been amazing this year. God has given us such beauty:)

Beautiful Blooms
This was our first year growing tulips to sell. We have had beautiful bouquets and we are learning lots about the different varieties especially the double tulips. Our next additions will be peonies and lilacs. Flowers brighten every day! What a blessing:) The cherry trees in bloom also added more beauty to our days along with the apple blossoms. Here are a few pictures:

Happy Spring
It is amazing that the first day of Spring is here!! We still have snow although it is disappearing every day. I am looking forward to lots of new flowers being planted soon. Hopefully we will have success with our ranunculus. The ranunculus is a beautiful flower that is easily grown in California but is a little harder to grow in Michigan. Here are some pictures from The Flower Fields, Carlsbad, California. I visited there with my daughter several years ago. The flowers were beautiful!
